Convocatoria - Tercer Diálogo Entre Ciudades de Edgelands: Expectativas Ciudadanas sobre Transparencia y Seguridad

Invitamos a residentes de Medellín, Cúcuta, Nairobi, Ginebra y Houston a participar en un debate colaborativo sobre la transparencia en la seguridad urbana, la confianza digital y las infraestructuras.

Interested in transparency and security? The Edgelands Institute invites youth leaders, academics, policy makers, civil society advocates, security experts and others from Medellín, Cúcuta, Nairobi, Geneva, and Houston to a unique online convening to reimagine the urban social contract for the digital age.

Transparency, in the context of the digital age, involves open and accessible government information and decision-making processes related to digital technology. It is crucial for fostering trust, accountability, and enabling democratic debates.

‍

We're inviting residents from Medellín, Cúcuta, Nairobi, Geneva, and Houston to engage in a collaborative discussion on transparency in urban security, digital trust, and infrastructure. This dialogue is part of a series of six inter-city discussions on digital integrity and its impact on the urban social contract. This is a unique opportunity to share ideas and shape the future of transparency in digital governance.

Who Should Apply?

We are seeking participants who are:

  • Passionate about rethinking the urban social contract around security and digital technologies.
  • Curious about the role of digital integrity in shaping transparency, security, and digital governance.
  • Interested in improving transparency in urban security, digital trust, and infrastructure protection.

Selection Process

‍

Due to limited space, we will select 2-3 participants from each city. You will be notified of your selection status by June 6 via email.

‍

How to Apply

‍

  • Fill out the application form.
  • Application deadline: June 1, 2024.
  • Selected participants will join the online roundtable discussion on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 16:00-18:00 CEST | 17:00-19:00 EAT | 09:00-11:00 COP/CDT.
